For many generic, Ford, and Chrysler models, a sudden increase in fuel consumption, exhaust black smoke, weak acceleration, or idle instability is often due to oxygen sensor aging (OEM 234-4071). This air–fuel ratio sensor monitors exhaust oxygen content and feeds the ECU to precisely control fuel injection. Directly replaces OEM 234-4071 and is compatible with 234-4127 as well. After installation, engine performance improves, fuel consumption reduces, and the check engine light turns off.
